When Melodie and her daughter Jenny came to my office, they’d been struggling with feeling misunderstood and rejected by one another for years. It was evident to me that they truly loved each other and wanted to feel close but something was preventing them from doing so, in spite of spending quality time together. Melodie shared this story with me to pass on to you all.

“My daughter Jenny and I had struggled with our relationship from the time she was in high school until she was 36 years old. We had been to a couple of counselors who helped us understand some of the dynamics of our relationship but the undercurrent of our disconnect remained. It came to a head Christmas of 2016. We were at a place of deciding to be content with a very surface relationship of discussing the weather and our day at work, but the extremely close bond we’d shared as she grew up was long gone.

We decided to try counseling one more time in a desperate effort to save the deterioration of what little connection we had. God led us to Lee Ann who suggested we try Splankna therapy. Both Jenny and I were leery, since it was very foreign to us; however, after praying about it, we decided to give it a try.”

Splankna targets the whole person, spirit, soul and body all at once enabling us to pinpoint the source of the issue.  We identified that Melodie had inherited her mother’s spirit of rejection and had been carrying it throughout her life, causing her to feel rejected by everyone, especially those she loved most. Jenny in turn, had been feeling rejected by her mother through this spirit as well, and so the cycle continued.

Melodie continued “As I repented of this spirit, God pulled out that noxious weed in my heart– I literally felt an overwhelming warmth and peace for days. My daughter and I now enjoy the freedom of a healthy mother/daughter bond and closeness that had illuded us for 20 years! I have recommended Lee Ann to several friends of mine who are now finding emotional healing through her counseling services.
